Privacy policy

Last updated 20 August 2026

This policy explains what information Profit Flowing Web Design collects when you use this website or engage me to build one, what I do with it, and how you can ask me to change or delete it. It is written in plain English on purpose.

Who I am

Profit Flowing Web Design is a sole operator based in Adelaide, South Australia, building websites for local businesses. You can reach me at enquiries@profitflowing.com.

What I collect

I do not collect payment card details. Payments are handled by a third-party payment provider, and card numbers never reach this site or me.

What I do with it

I do not sell your information, and I do not share it for advertising. I will not add you to a marketing list you did not ask to be on. If I ever do send anything promotional, it will include a working unsubscribe link, as required by the Spam Act 2003.

Who else touches it

Running a website means using a few outside services. The ones that may handle your information are the web host that serves this site, the email provider that carries our correspondence, and the payment provider that processes an invoice. Each is used only for that purpose. Some of them store data outside Australia.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not use advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites. Any analytics used are limited to aggregate traffic measurement. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will still work.

How long I keep it

Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted once they are clearly no longer relevant. Client records are kept for as long as I am required to keep them for tax purposes, currently five years, and then deleted.

Security

Information is kept on reputable services with access controls and encryption in transit. No system is perfect, and I will not claim otherwise — but I hold as little as possible, for as short a time as possible, which is the most effective protection there is.

Your rights

Email me and you can ask to see what I hold about you, have it corrected if it is wrong, or have it deleted. There is no charge and no form to fill in. I will respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you are not happy with how I have handled your information, tell me first and I will try to fix it. If that does not resolve it, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Copyright and use of this site

The design, code, text and images on this website are the property of Profit Flowing Web Design. You may not copy, reproduce or republish them, and permission is expressly withheld for reproducing this site or using its content to train or fine-tune any automated or machine-learning system.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. The current version is always the one on this page.

A note on where this sits legally. Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), most Australian businesses turning over $3 million or less have been exempt from the Australian Privacy Principles. That exemption is being phased out, and this policy is written to meet those principles regardless. It is written in good faith but it is not legal advice — if your circumstances are unusual, have a lawyer look at it.
